Fri. Mar. 14, 1930
Officer Condron died after contracting septic poisoning as the result of a foot injury sustained three months earlier. Officer Condron and other officers were pursuing an escaped prisoner when Officer Condron injured his foot. The pain prevented Officer Condron from continuing the chase.
He was eventually placed on sick leave as the pain increased. The condition in his foot worsened, forcing it to be amputated. Officer Condron contracted the septic poisoning after the amputation and died six days later.
Officer Condron had served with the agency for 29 years. He was survived by his wife and four children.
