Bio: Born in Kearny, N.J., Bill has been a resident of Cedar Grove since 1995. Fearon graduated from Seton Hall Preparatory School and studied at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, before later enrolling in the police academy.
Lt. Fearon was a proud member of the 114th State Police class, graduating on September 23, 1994. He served his entire career with distinction in numerous roles within the Division’s Field Operations Section, including Troops B and D. He was a member of the State Trooper’s Superior Officer’s Association, the State Troopers NCO Association and the STFA. He was a member of the NRA, the Irish Echo Group and the Sheepdog Foundation. Throughout his battle with cancer, Bill maintained his sense of humor, positive attitude and can-do spirit, and he personally handed out hundreds of “No Fear” wristbands to family, friends and acquaintances during his struggle to show that he would never give up his fight. |
