Bio: Marcia was born in New Hartford, New York. She attended Frankfort-Schuyler High School in Frankfort, New York and graduated from State University of New York at Albany with a BA in Psychology and a Minor in Criminal Justice. She recently received a Masters of Criminal Justice from Boston University.
She was a 10-year veteran of the Stamford Police Department working most recently as a School Resource Officer at Cloonan Middle School and in the City Police Academy. In 2003, she sustained an injury during an altercation at the middle school which left her unable to be a full-time police officer. Prior to being an SRO, she was a street officer working closely with teenage rape victims. Victims' advocacy was her most valued part of her job. |

Police Officer Marcia Stella succumbed to complications of injuries sustained four years earlier while attempting to break up a fight at a local high school.
During the incident she suffered an injured neck and shoulder, as well as rupturing several vertebrae. She never fully recovered and passed away from complications of the injuries.
Officer Stella had served with the Stamford Police Department for 10 years and was assigned as a school resource officer. She was survived by her husband, son, and daughter.
