Patrolman Everett and Patrolman M. W. Vinson were shot and killed during a traffic stop by one of two men who had just burglarized the Ace Weathers Motor Company.
The gunman was convicted of two counts of first degree murder and executed in the electric chair on Febuary 5, 1954.
